Hi Shaun, Here in New Plymouth watching your progress. Keep giving it heaps and look forward to see you row into Ngamoutu beach. Just one request...hope you make it before Easter as we are heading the other way over the ditch for a holiday. Keep up the awesome work. Shaz.

Hi Shaun, this is your Mairangi Bay / Takapuna Grammar / old salt yachtie supporter living in Adelaide. If the BOM site wind forecasts are correct, you will need to gird your loins for this next week, old chum. Easterlies all week to 25 kts with seas to match; yachties weather site 'passageweather.com' concurs and also predicts easterly windwaves to 5m. Such bad luck and I feel for you but when the going gets tough, the tough get going - having been through the Taka Grammar 'meat grinder' you must have it in you! Bet you wish you had hopped onto that gyre off Coffs on day 2. My advice is go east like hell today, tonight and early tomorrow until the easterlies defeat you, then ship oars, deploy para anchor, put your feet up, and bide your time until Saturday when conditions are predicted to abate.
