Making progress…inch by inch…stroke by stroke // Day 9
Last night Shaun was forced to row until midnight due to the westward currents, however he made some great progress and slept well. This morning the Tasman is in a good mood and he will be looking to get as many strokes done as possible before some adverse weather sets in.
Yesterday four fish decided to join Tasman Trespasser 2 and this morning they were still present. As well as this, a moth landed on Shaun last night which is quite bizarre! Looks like mother nature is doing her best to keep him company!
As at 8am this morning Shaun is approximately 550km east of Sydney and looks to be in a favourable eddie.
Make sure you keep following his progress online, best done with Orcon broadband, and keep the messages of support flowing!

Great stuff Shaun. Have filled the fridge at NPOB, Oakura Beach for when you get here.Take your time and we will keep rotating the Stock !!!
Cheers

I am one of the followers you have never met,family of Bucky, and following you daily on the net. Well done and keep up the awesome work. Great stuff!
I check your progress each night and am in awe at the way you’re going. I also keep an eye on the young Aussie circumnavigating around the world solo http://www.jessicawatson.com.au/ as well as an American http://www.abbysunderland.com/ and think of my own circumnavigation back in the 60’s. Then there’s an Indian http://sagarparikrama.blogspot.com/ but he’s doing his in fits and starts (like me) whereas the 2 teens are non stop. What a terrific way to wile away an evening.

Hi Shaun,
You’re going bloody marvellous! Did you eat the fish?!
May i suggest Mai & Rangi , Bay & Surf for the fish and maybe swell for the moth – or not :-}
Awesome work Quincey! What have you named your companions?
Did ya name that moth ‘Wilson’? Keep up the good work mate. Your progress is the first thing I check each day and the last thing I check each night.
