Onwards and Eastwards // Day 3
After a great night sleep Shaun drifted 30 nautical miles South South East thanks to his sea anchor. HeĀ is feeling good and looking to turn east and into the East Australian Current. Keep an eye on his live map because there could be some interesting movements as he slides between two large surface current systems.
The sea is a bit rough this morning and its overcast however winds are expected to be favourable.

Shaun, We are all monitoring your progress, good to see the GPS tracking towards NZ…Love and best wishes Sue, Kevin, Stef and James Williams (Mairangi Bay)

Shaun you are a star man. Even having got to the start line was a major with what you went through. We are all hugely proud of you and are with you every stroke. I have made a pact to go to the gym every day you are rowing and do some kms….. with you in spirit. Go get that goal…as Al Pacino says…inch by inch…yard by yard !!!
Shaun we are all thinking of you! and we look forward to seeing you in New Plymouht!
I’m from Urunga just near Coffs and I am wishing you all the best in your epic journey. I just can’t imagine how brave you must be to even consider doing something like this but I think you must have something within your DNA pushing you along.
Here’s to favourable currents and weather. Good luck!
Vanessa
